To my fellow Metro North Employees:

I have been asked by a number of coworkers to comment on questions that I wrote pertaining to our new defined benefit plan. I submitted these 14 questions to Mr. Atilal Lee and Mr. Art Perlin at MTA-HQ by E-mail on 6/4/04 and 6/7/04. I have been told that in order for these questions to be answered they must be asked by an ACRE representative. As of this date 7/8/04 no written response has been received. It is my opinion, that all craft employees represented by ACRE have every legal right to ask any question they wish pertaining to this new plan, no matter which union they belong to. In fact being plan participants puts the MTA/MN in a fiduciary role for all of us. I was hopeful that after these questions were read, others would come forward with additional ones. If you have any comments or questions, please E-mail them back and they will be submitted for answers. When I do receive the answers to my Defined Benefit questions, they will be posted on this site.
