ACRE officers did attend the Commuter Rail Conference in Baltimore on March 24 th and 25 th . ACRE continued their attempt to interfere with the Metro-North Labor Coalition's collective bargaining process by lobbying the National Mediation Board not to release the M-N Coalition from mediation. ACRE does not possess any influence concerning this issue with the NMB.

ACRE's repeated attempts – remember the ill-advised meeting with M-N Coalition members in the ACRE office on November 3, 2005 to disrupt the Coalitions bargaining process. This demonstrates the organization's fear that the Coalition will obtain a fair contract for their collective membership and fully expose the defects contained in ACRE's “historic” contract.

It is not difficult to understand with this type of activity displayed by ACRE, their reputation as a company union, and the organization's method of operation, why ACRE is ignored, ridiculed or despised by all of organized labor.

Sincerely,

Officers of Local 77
