Coalition of 8 unions reach tentative agreement with Metro-North Railroad.

See News section dated 3/30.  Please wait for all of the details to come out.  You need to make an informed educated decision concerning this tentative agreement.  You also need to see the entire package before you jump to any conclusions.  See what the Coalition did not state concerning this tentative agreement contained on their highlight sheet.  Does this agreement bring you closer to parity with the LIRR or just widen the gap?  Does this agreement just bail out the problems created by ACRE officers concerning their"Historic Deal" with the MTA?  Remember, that is the real reason why you have gone 4 1/2 years without a contract.  Does this agreement solve the co-payment of health and welfare benefit issues or just pass it on to the next contract?  Why when no coalition member has ever retired under the MTA Pension Plan, has the Coalition agreed to change the retirement terms of the MTA Pension for new hires?  Is this really a solution or just cannibalism of the union membership?  Stay informed and in touch.
