2004 Health Costs for Employees
Here
is a link to charts explaining the 2004 health costs
for agreement and non-agreement Metro-North active employees.
Currently we pay nothing towards these health costs, unless
you choose an HMO. With the new hires now having to pay
a co-payment for these health costs, their weekly contribution
depending on the plan they choose, will range anywhere between
$35.04 up to $55.65. This factors into a yearly cost of
between $1,822.08 up to $2,893.80. Including all future
adjustments without any caps. This issue should be taken
very seriously and it should be addressed as an all or nothing
issue. As union members, we should not just force it on
all new hires whom can not vote and will never have a say
in this matter.
